Sports Betting: Things to considerate on every game

By: A. Aguilar

Each day of football we have many options in multiple games. Beyond the previous analysis and monitoring of each round before every game, you need to decide your bets. Obviously you should bet on those you know better. Even still to get some benefits you need to measure and compare various aspects.

Team Overall progress: Not only is it important to know what the team's standings are, but also whether they are in a good or bad luck streak. Most bets are on forums that are based only on statistics, which are also on the Bookies, so the potential value for them is null and long-term losses very likely. Where we can take advantage is if we know the true shape of the team; whether they are playing well but getting mixed results or if their progress is positive or negative.

Inactive Players: The penalties and injuries affect every game significantly. You have to detect who the key players are and assess their potential. Also check if the Inactive players have accumulated in a line of the team, and measure how gambling could be affected (both result as over / under).

Environment: Economic troubles, disputes in the policy or a bad roll in the locker room can influence the outcome. It is important to measure, for example, situations where players do not earn as they are supposed to. In a team of the Spain Premier League, a salary delay of a couple of months will not matter too much, but in lower divisions or in some other countries, the withdrawal of sponsors or players not receiving their payments has a big affect in performance. Problems in the directive are not always reflected in the results but the disputes at the locker room are usually noticeable on the field.

Staff changes: In the winter season, teams can be strengthened and, although usually not often, change things a lot in the major leagues. But in some competitions teams suffer radical changes during the season and the bookies are not usually very aware to these situations, since they are only guided by statistics and classification charts. In Eastern European teams, for example, is relatively common to see a team lose more than half of its starters and fall from the leading group, becoming the weakest team in the league.

With all these details you can be more accurate in evaluating whether the placed odds are wrong and find a gap to take advantage on them. If you bet accordingly you should safely obtain benefits on the long-term.
